Alteration Experts is an appointment-led tailoring studio in Hong Kong focused on garment remodelling and upcycling. We work with dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, and vintage pieces that need a new fit or a new purpose.

Our process is straightforward: inspect the garment, discuss the concept, confirm the scope, then begin the work once the design is approved. That keeps each project clear, practical, and grounded in what the fabric can support.

Material-led work

We look for ways to reuse strong sections of the original garment where possible. That approach supports thoughtful upcycling while respecting the limits of the fabric and construction.

Final fitting

Fit is checked again at collection so the finished piece can be reviewed in person. If a small final adjustment is needed, it is handled with care and without changing the agreed design.

Our story

How the studio began

Since 2018, the studio has helped customers update garments they want to keep, wear again, or reimagine. The goal is to make thoughtful changes without losing the character of the original piece.

We often work with garments that carry memory, value, or strong materials worth reusing. Some pieces need a better fit, while others are better suited to a redesign that brings out their best features.

Before any quote is confirmed, we review the construction, fabric condition, and requested fit. This helps set realistic expectations about what can be achieved and whether the existing material is suitable for the concept.

From first inquiry to collection, the studio keeps the project visible and well defined. Final review at collection is part of the process, so small finishing adjustments can be handled carefully if needed.
